When up in Whitby last week, I used runnydown for the very first time believe it or not. Don\'t remember it being readily available in the 70\'s when I used to fish regularly.
Didn\'t think to ask in the tackle shop, so threaded worms up the hook shank as I would normally do with live worm. Worked OK but bait sagged down the hook easily unless tipped with squid or macky.
On returning home, I\'ve read an old article in Sea Angler which recommends you cut the runny into 5inch strips then wrap bait elastic round to make a thicker bait, then mount it on the hook. Is that right? What do you guys do?
Being out of the sea fishing scene for so long, I have a lot to catch up on!!
