  • Where to fish around Blyth ?

I will be fishing the Blyth area on the 3rd Dec. It will be a big nightime low water tide and would welcome any suggestions where to fish as per sea conditions etc... I dont know the area well but do know the pier and the long beach where the bogs are at the South end. I will be aiming for cod but info on whiting will also do nicely.
A bad days fishing is better than a good day at work.

Hi fozally welcome to NESA mate. If you are fishing during the day try the pier, especially if there is a big sea. If you are talking about the night tide and the sea is ok try around the ranch or Meggie\'s burn. The middle toilets should also fish ok with some sea on.

If you are not sure about where these marks are, go down the left hand side of the page and click on original site and then again on maps and look at Blyth.

Only problem with Meggies and that area is where to leave the car without a long walk.

    Jim.

I meant to say, don\'t know if you are local or not, but if you are get down at low water and have a walk around and see where the holes are.

Sometimes you only need to cast about 30 yards or so.

Hi fozally the whitley bay night comp is on that evening 8pm-12.30am i believe\' probably my favourite open so i will be in the area if your around. Blyth pier if there is no type of northerly sea on then its not worth the walk\' the beach can be deadly on a dying sea over high water a 50 yard lob puys you in a gutter that runs for a long stretch of the beach around the middle toilets if the sea is up the beach becomes heavy very quickly and is unfishable..

Waste of time mostly. Just usually try the rock edges. Plenty of them in that area mate. Have a drive round at low water, it would take for ever to fish them all lol.
