                Use of common sense

The reason for a rotten bottom I was meaning is that if your not gets stuck on a ring your lead would part much easier in a snap off. BUT the point of the statement was for safety for folk that r around you. Yes the title say use of common sense.

Mate, you need to research what a rotton bottom is and how to use one safely.
It's designed to deploy after the lead hits the seabed or waters surface.
Not as a means to crack your lead off if your lines wrapped around a ring or you've left the reel in gear.
                  Stay safe!
                  Enjoy your fishing!
                  Take your rubbish home!
                  Rocker.

Still at a loss me like mate. Carnt undastand why using a rotten bottom on practice casting. No need just a shocker and a weight on the end so simple. Seems the thing that gets me is he was casting towards folk wich is to say mildley beoned a joke. Thats were common sense should of came in to it.

So who is using common sense in this tale?
People who live in glass houses have to answer the door.
