    going to get me first winter session sometime today....
    not seen many reports on the shields area. . . . SOUTH that is
    cannot think of where to try?

              You probably know south shields better than me, been doing a spot myself, next to ferry landings, it tends to be better at high after the ferry stops running,

                I also found that roker pier is ok fishing to the seaward side towards the end, smooth ish bottom or so I reckon, not like south shields pier, If roker pier is closed there is always the old rat house( old north pier ) fishin into the river side of that is ok, not very rewarding unless your on the tip for some reason.
