It took 15 minutes on Friday night to fix my reel to my rod, and when it was fully tight it still didnt feel secure.
Can anyone recomend a decent reel seat, Im thinking of fixed one on?
Cheers,
Lee
Hi yes the imax is pretty bad ive found the Abu griplok is a good seat you can also make your own with any normal screw type reel seat by cutting a flap into it with a dremel type tool so that when you tighten the reel it pushes down onto the shrink.
Do you have an image of this as i cant quite figure what you mean?
Cheers
I don't but I've got one to do ill send you some pics of before during and after later on when its done. And it only takes a few minutes if you have a dremel
fuji all the way by cheap pay twice the collars get stuck or pop on the cheapies but mind thier are a few other1s giving fuji a run for thier money pacbay and anyfish anywhere are also good but time will tell
Take butt section to shop, get one with a good fit, bit of tape on where u want it and force it over the tape... Dont glue it or you can never remove it
With masking tape if you wet it, slide reelseat over, when it dries it acts like an adhesive and will need to be soaked to remove will be a much better fit than just leccy tape
