    I have never tried in the area are there any decent marks north of the Tyne ? Also what sort of gear you would use ? Any help would be greatful
    Tools of choice; Zziplex Zeteque TXL GT + 427 SU Tip section, Zziplex Dymic LT14, Penn 525 slidey x2, Akios Scora 80

    2015/2016 Summer / Winter season missions
    1, To catch and Ray, Doggie and a Tubot
    2, To break the 5lb codling barrier (biggest 4lb 8oz Nov 2014)
    3, Grow a pair and tell the wife im gan fishing !

    Have float fished of SSP in the summer and it's great sport with coalies, pollock and mackeral. Never tried this time of year. Just use a sliding float a couple of drilled bullets and a 1/0 hook. Vary the depth until bites come then stick at it. Rag or mackeral strip.

      Never tried the float but seen lots in the summer months at cullernose.

        the beacons at newbiggin after some nice pollock normally around the 4-6lb mark, also dunstanbourgh castle & off the emblestones up newton with the chance of even bigger pollock & some nice wrasse on the float.
