it can be a good shot over lw, get some good coalies in summer. very rocky and full of kelp.
there are no 'specicific' holes as such to aim for, just walk to the end of the rock and chuck east(ish) between 50 and 80 yds.
allthough you do get quite a bit of time on there, the tide does come around the back of you, so watch for that - as those boulders are not easy to get over when they are under water
Had a 3lb cod from there last year, and some coalies. Dangerous though, if you're not quick enough you'll be cut off and the tide comes in like a good un, i found out myself kelp central, but give it a go you never know.
Usually found on Crimdon beach with two Springers!!
Have you noticed how some of the old boys fish just after the fence into the rocks. If you know where to cast its not bad getting gear back and some good fish come up. Most people rush straight to the end.
My uncle used to fish the lighthouse corner when i was a kid. Only tried it once or twice and was very snaggy.
Never fished off the rocks but looks canny.
Mick.
