    i have judt got a bag of fresh mussel what would be the best way to shell them for best results, natural way or the blanching eway if blanch how long in the hot water thank you in advance

    I prefer natural.Hovever a quick blanche ,can make them a little tougher.Quick blanche not cooked.

      Freeze them - shell them - bag them - freeze them - Simples.

          thamks for advice, but as there lot of small ones among i decide to cook the small ones in cider and enjoyed them so much i cooked the bigger ones in cider as well so i less bait options for the mora ,just have tp get extra the next time lol

            fresher the better, open fresh 2 hours b4 fishing.
