The wind did seem to drop my 9 last night, wife was ill so couldn\'t get out,but thought it might be good fishing.
On the subject of hearses, stopped for one on Hodgons road and discovered there was about 10 other private cars behind but watied.
only to find some rep in his Volvo come charging up the middle of the road, once the traffic started moving again NO ONE let him back in.
                    For shame.

Keeps driving like that and it won\'t be long, even if he is in a Volvo.

Speaking of hearses and things \"traffic\"........

For many years, I worked in the Councils\' Street Lighting Section and during that time, I had to attend many RTAs involving damage to street lights. One of the most surreal events involved an accident between a hearse (with passenger) and a lighting column on Springwell Road in Jarrow. The driver of the hearse had somehow managed to crash into the lamp post whilst ON THE WAY to a funeral - consequently, the bereaved family were following behind it.
When I arrived at the scene, the covered coffin was lying on the pavement awaiting a replacement hearse.
Very upsetting for the family - extremely embarrassing for the driver of the hearse - cause of much bewilderment for those attending the incident.
As I was heading down the bank towards the scene of the accident, I seen the hearse and thought to myself....\"bloody hell.....they got here quick\"......not realising that it was the hearse involved !
