              I agree.

They'll have there day just like any other bait can. Give me yellow tails any day.

Yellowtails tipped with live peeler is my favorite.
Whites fish well sometimes as well though.
                  Stay safe!
                  Enjoy your fishing!

whites fish well when fish are there , not sure they work as an attractant when fish are sparse ???

Good competition bait, that's why people put so much effort into acquiring
                        them.As previously said,when the fish are there,whites are deadly,and i've
had enough experience of this,to know it's true.I fished a pegged match on
Seaham pier years ago,and there were plenty of whiteys about, and a few codling.I had fresh blacks and live crab from Devon, and thought i had a
decent chance of being there or thereabouts at the end.I was wrong,i had
one codling,i think it was'nt much more than a pound, and the bloke on my
left, had eight codling, for around nineteen pound. He walked the comp, and all
he used was snake whites, nothing else.Certainly made me pause for thought.

Oh,and i'm pretty sure Stringer and co took the top places in the big comp
                        last weekend using silvers.

Obviously theyll have their day but the way people go on about them youd think they were hoying truffles out.
Quality scratching bait when theres not much about like but id rather have a bucket off blacks every time, all about preference though
