  • 525 mag 2 problems

    Has anyone had any trouble with the reel seat rivets coming loose.
    Had this one for a year, used it dozen times and the rivets have come loose

    imo i would say manufacturing problem m8 take it up with penn ?
    KEEP AHAD LADS IF THINGS DONT CHANGE THEY WILL STAY THE SAME

        I agree, wouldnt use them as a sinker,.
        If its got t1ts or tyres, its gonna be trouble.

        If you can't fix it with a hammer, you have an electrical problem

          Thats what I think of the mag2's, my old original 525 mags are as strong as an ox and are still perfect working order and 3 of them are early models from 1999

            I had that problem bought one brand new used it twice and was walking down the pier and I felt a wobble on my rod I thought my rod had spigot wobble but on closer inspection it was the loose rivals needless to say it was replaced immediately by the shop but after that I sold the other one and bought an USA 525 and there bullet proof

                      You need to look after your reels Briann and not chuck them about They might be pristine just like mine then

                      Seriously mate, get on to Gerrys and get a replacement sorted.
