  • Rough ground line

I use sensor generally down here in wales, 30 pound breaks at 35 so its strong enough to cast with, a bit thick so on bigger tides when there is more movement I use red ice which is a bit thinner

I have been using Red Ice for quite a few years now but when I was fishing last week on Blyth beach something caught on my line and it frayed all of the outer coating well down my line causing a \"lump\" of worn off line. First time this has happened so last night I tried some Sensor 35lb straight through and was VERY impressed with it.

the best line for standing up to abrasion is pro fish ghost line full stop. in tests it was absolutely streets ahead of every other line. this line does however have one drawback its full of memory. i\'ll try to find the line test info and post it here, i know i still have it somewhere.
for the majority of my shore fishing i use berkley big game i find this the best all rounder but use ghost line where conditions dictate.

Proline Ghost does have another drawback. It\'s a bit pricy, at least the last lot I bought was.
You\'re right about the rest though. It\'s one of the best around for standing up to a bit of wear.
                Cheers

                  cheers for the link ian.
it saves me the job of trying to find it.
amazing abrasion resistance compared to ANY other line.
last spool i bought was about a tenner so not too ott.
