        Amble open

We fished half way between the doctors house and craster. A lad just along from us had six fish and one looked like a double so I think the result sounds right.
Two lads to our other side had four cod a piece all about the two pound mark. One of them lost a cracking fish off.
The five of us had one cod between us. Nearly all the fish were on white worm and peeler cocktail. We had all sorts of bait but nee whites or peeler.
A big thank you to the staff in the club on the morning doing the sausage and bacon sarnies and the tea and coffee.
The organisation of this competition was second to none. Other clubs should take note of how it is run.

                Massive weigh in...

Excellent bag of fish from stringer. Tony Anderson pushed into 2nd with Chris's double late on.

yeh mate same on bog hall.

odd 2 pounder came in amongst all of us.

i had one 1.5lb but didnt bother going to weigh in.

enjoyed the day, good banter with some well known anglers

I know mate, your not a c*nt for saying it, I do know rules are rules it just seemed very harsh. We got caught up behind every slow thing on the way there! Traffic lights you name it. Hey i have respect for them not letting us weigh in, shows they follow their rules. I think i was just a tad miffed as literally we got to the line 2 mins late.

Where did you fish to be more than an hour late?

Golden rule. If you have fish you make sure you leave enough time.

1 hour is ample. Theres nothing worse than have a long time to weigh in.

and what would happen if somebody came two minutes after you, and so on and so on, they would of had to be let to weigh in, and next year after setting a precedent this year the same would happen. You where not the only one not allowed to weigh in, someone came to the weigh in with his flounder dead in a plastic bag, although rules stated you had to bring them back alive in a bucket, he was disqualified. Thankfully because of this rule only a handful of the many flounder caught went back alive.
