Fished it on friday night on the ebb, got nowt just a couple of small bites. Then decided to fish the rocks just up from the harbour, same thing, just a couple of bites and a lot of tackle loss its snaggy as hell.

You`re probably better off fishing around the Doctors House, m8.

Slightly less snaggy, and a better chance of a fish or two, IMO.

Tip off your bait with mussel, if you can get some.

            Thats the place, Pete.

Park at the end of the farm road, on the tight corner, then walk down the foopath.

                Less snaggy Tony???
I fished there one night and in 12 casts lost 12 rigs....Nearly threw the rod in the sea that night!

Mark....head a few hundred yard south of the house.

There`s a cracking gulley there (Howick Haven)

Cast into the gulley and prepare to drag fish out by the hundredweight.

                    Or not.

                    By the way.

Two spark plugs tied together is roughly 5 oz.

See your local friendly garage for a supply of old ones.

One of the lads in our club fishes Howick practically every week....Now he must have a good weight supplier!!!Don\'t mind snaggy ground but I only ever fish that way if I\'m desperate...The Haven can on a decent sea produce some cracking bags but like a lot of places sea conditions count. Er Tony....me old pal...Er which of the friendly garages should I be asking for a supply of Plugs?

                              Cheers Tony

Lost Rigs Hiram.....I have tried Cannylinks there as well.....Still lost gear...It must be the snaggiest place I\'ve ever fished. I have fished there many times I just find it doesn\'t inspire my confidence, although like I said, a lad in our club fishes there virtually every week so he must be happy.
