    fished next to the decking were the statue is of the lady. spure of the moment thing didnt expect much just nice to get out. from the off we had bites but cudnt conect with nowt. then i reeled in to find a small flaty on the end wich i never knew was on nearly the pound mark so didnt blank. wud rather my friend getting it coz it was his first time sea fishing. but hey thats the way the cookie crumbles lol ... bait rag lug muscle. fish caught on lug muscle cocktail

    Well done on not blanking mate I couldn't connect last night so had to down size my hooks which worked a treat up on your mates first session

      Sometimes those little flatties just suck the hook in and just sit there, what's the bottom like down that part of the river snaggy or what

        to tell u the truth mate my personal oppion of the decking and along that strech to the conner. i can probaly count on one hand how many weights ive lost. but i hear other ppl saying its bad for tackle loss. compared to the other side of the river fish quay its paridise. dont no wat its like at smiths dock never fished it cudnt find how to get in

          Last few times I've fished the fish quay it's been terrible for losing gear especially once the tide turns and starts pulling out, never had nowt decent from there either
