Paul, I think you may have a problem patenting them as the design is already in the public domain. I\'m not sure but I think this is the case.

Could be Alan but I\'m sure you\'re advised not to disclose the design to anyone before applying for a patent as it can cause major bother, a quick search on the web should give a rough answer
