          Was still using the cod 5 Last year till I treat myself to a greys apollo. Had it for years.
          It weighed a tonne but you probably guarantee that you could pull a cow through the thickest kelp and it would\'nt snap !

          Would\'nt go back to it though........

              had the old century equivelent the sc6 paid a £100 for it about 13 year ago from i.d thought i was the dogs bollacks at the time same rod pulled some cod in makes me cringe now though

                I\'ve still got an sc6 somewhere, but it\'s the earlier 14ft version made by Pateke Morton (?) as a backcaster. Couldn\'t even pick it up now.
                Got a DC6 as well which is a decent rock rod, but far too heavy compared with modern rods and a Cod 5. Still a nice rod that, tried it on the beach a couple of months ago together with a Conoflex Super Flick-tip that I\'d done up for the son-in-law. Surprised me how nice they felt to cast with.

                  Still got my Pateke Morton SC6, my first \'proper\' rod. It\'s going to get employed as an uptider after I go at it with a hacksaw lol
