  • Wear boat traffic

Got to mention an incident which happened on Friday while I was having couple of hours at the Glass Centre on Friday afternoon.I was giving my new rod its first try since getting it for Xmas,I had 2 rods in the water when a boat (The Jester) was heading up river.I noticed that he was heading directly at the two lines had in the water so I shouted and waved at the boat to try And get him to moved to the centre of the River. He did not seethe lines as I thought took no action to evade the lines, so after shouting a few well chosen obscenities and reeling in as quickly aspossible I thought no more of the matter apart from memuttering more abuse under my breath to myself.About half an hour later a gentleman walked up to me and apologized as he was the skipper of the boat and said he had not seen me,we chatted for a few minutes and I also apologized for the outburst of bad languages aimed at the boat.
What a pleasant surprise someone apllogising,or could it be he was coming to give me a mouthful until he saw the size of me(the clues in the name ).
I'd like to think the former was his aim.

Nice one mate. I wish more people would acknowledge their mistakes............would save a lot of 'aggro'. Good when people hold their hands up and apologize. Fair play to you as well for accepting his apology. Easy isn't it, much better than getting involved in any "nasties".
Boat and shore anglers sometimes come to 'loggerheads' where lines are involved. I have a small boat myself, and always try to give shore anglers a wide berth, as I am sure 99% of other boat users do. Problem is you'll always get the odd idiot who thinks its "cool" to motor over people's lines. However it is obvious in your case, this skipper made a genuine mistake.
