  • Casting Distance !!!

With all the banter about casting distances on here lately, a decided to take me gear onto field at work. See what I could get. If someone had if previously asked, I'd of said I put a bait about 150 yds! Total BS !!! Working that a footy pitch is about 100yds I put a plain lead about 150ish! With and overhead thump, and no wind at all! So with a big bait that I usually chuck out, and headwind ect, I reckon I'll be lookin at 100-110yds!! I think alot of people would get a shock if they had a look on a field!! When you see 100 yds marked out, it makes you appreciate what these lads at NESA do, when there gannin 250 ect!! Some boys! Gonna try perfect the pendulum and see if I can get anywhere near the 200!!! Hardest part was gettin the 6oz lead out the Mud!!!

If your chucking 100+ with a big bait in hard conditions(head wind ect) with a overhead cast I wouldn't bother learning to penulum.
