Just wondering about the above where is everyone's fave mark ie peg number? Which one is most predictive. And at what stage of the tide? Thinking about fishing it ether tonight or tomorrow day time. Any help will be greatly received...

40-44 for easy fishin mate. The end though is most productive I would say

Year I have herd 44was a good spot. Is it fishing into the river or sea? And does it matter what stage of the tide to fish.

Sea mate for snagless fishin. Any stage of tide can produce though I prefer high water.

Rail end is a good shot i find half tide the best fishing th flood
            40-44 can be fished anytime
The end can fish all tide but i think it has always produced much more fish of a bigger stamp over low water
The wheel between the last set of steps and the end is very good and holds some big fish but good luck getting them out
PB SHORE COD 9LB 14oz seaton sluice 3/11/12

First gate area can be Ok fishing into the harbour obviously. Can be snaggy on certain tides I have found. Agree about 40 to 44 area, heavy ground for about 50 yards then clean sand as fas as I can tell.
