Santa brought a pair of chub field boots, worn them in the house with heat holders and they have the feet sweating in seconds!

I got some of the Muck boots like these.
GENUINE Muck Boots - TAY SPORT - UK 12 GREEN - Extra lining Muckboot Wellington | eBay

Feet warm with ordinary socks. Fished pier week or so back at -4 plus windchill and just felt toes starting to go after few hours but still ok.

Boots for winter are like anything else, you get what you pay for.Personally,
i don't think you can get a decent pair for much less than a ton.Loads of
boots are classed as winter boots, because they're waterproof, and will keep
your feet reasonably warm whilst on the move. The real acid test is when
you're static.I have a pair of North face chilkats which do keep my feet
quite comfortable when static, and unlike moonboots, they are'nt cumbersome.
I also have some North face slot boots, which are lighter and slightly higher
up the leg than the chilkats. These also have hard little plastic type studs
on the sole, and are said to have excellent grip on snow and ice,but i've yet
to try them. You'll get little change out of a ton for either, although the kats
are slightly cheaper.Another thing is you should always wear wool socks,
preferably merino wool, and i mean pure wool, not the cheaper 'wool mix'
$hite you see advertised. They are'nt cheap, but they are the best for the
                job.
If you want guaranteed warm feet, then look at what is worn in countries
that have real harsh winters,or what scientists wear at polar stations.
You'll probably find the most popular are Baffin or Sorrel. These have boots
guaranteed to keep your feet warm in temperatures as low as -70c,even
when static, but most people round here, would rather have cold feet than
pay £150-£200 for a pair of boots. There is also the chew of having to
send to the USA for the majority of them, but like i say,you get what you
                pay for.

You can wear too much on your feet, you really need a gap between the foot and the boot for air .too tight and your feet are gonna get cold. try the boots without the thermal socks . i bought some EIGER boots for the pier with a tinfoil/thermal liner i wear 1 pair of thin socks .and must say compared to my chest waders with thermal socks , they are 200% better .

I bought some Mammut boots from go out doors for walking but decided to try then for my winter fishing best bit of equipment I ever bought and you can still climb round the pier fence without any issues. You get what you pay for and your feet never go cold in these. Mammut Men's MT Trail XT GTX Mountain Boots | GO Outdoors

Sunridge hot foot wellys for when your standing on a cold pier/beach. They are a pig to walk long distances in though, but you will not get cold feet. You can get them in boots aswell I think, which are much more suitable if you have to go stealth/climb somewhere.

Haven't had a cigarette for over 25 years. Your theory on cold feet and poor circulation due to smoking matbe worth invesigating.
