Short spined sea scorpion = Myoxocephalus scorpius
        Long spined sea scorpion =
        Taurulus bubalis

So different species, if you look back in one of the species threads there was a diagram to help you distinguish between the two.

Are you questioning any one else's fish or just mine ??

                  • Just copied this from wiki

The poor cod, Trisopterus minutus, is a temperate marine fish belonging to the cod family (Gadidae). It is red brown in color and has a pronounced chin barbel. It may grow up to a length of 40cm. It is usually found in small shoals at depths between 10 and 300 meters on muddy or sandy bottoms. Its distribution spans the eastern Atlantic; from Norwegian coasts to Portugal and along the Atlantic coast of Morocco; also in the Mediterranean. Spawning takes place towards the end of winter.

It feeds on crustaceans and small fishes. They are eaten by seals, whales and dolphins. It is commercially harvested for the production of fish meal, and in southern Europe as food.

Cod is the common name for the genus Gadus of demersal fishes, belonging to the family Gadidae. Cod is also used as part of the common name for a number of other fishes, and there are species suggested to belong to genus Gadus that are not called cod (the Alaska pollock).

The two most important species of cod are the Atlantic cod (Gadus morhua), which lives in the colder waters and deeper sea regions throughout the North Atlantic, and the Pacific cod (Gadus macrocephalus), found in both eastern and western regions of the northern Pacific. Gadus morhua was named by Linnaeus in 1758. (However, G. morhua callarias, a low salinity, non-migratory race restricted to parts of the Baltic, was originally described as Gadus callarias by Linnaeus.)

The size , colour and type is so vast John it all depends on what species your targeting. Lots of guys have had success in fishing lures on bait rigs/rods not strictly lure fishing IMO (opened myself up for bombardment lol) but will be lure caught.
If your sticking with your bait set up my opinion would be to try isome & milf
