im shure we have all learnt something regarding rocklings so in my opinion the species hunt on the whole has benefited

no hard feelings as yes its only a fish and a bit of fun

        happy hunting!
Yes mate you have come across as argumentative and have been doing a great job of winding people up. This is a friendly competition and meant to be fun for everybody. I accept you apology, let's put this behind us and carry on with the hunt.

I think if Pete says its lip caught then its lip caught.... there has to be an element of trust here.... (even if its a fluke that it ended up in its mouth! )
Yes Julio I am sure that both Pete and Mad Robs fish were legitimately caught. Everybody knows the rules and that foul hooked fish are not allowed, they would not have entered them if that was the case.

Thanks Mike but I'll withdraw that one as I'm not sure what kind of sandeel it is, it was one of the fellas on end of pier said it was a whatever. Yes I do think its a small sandeel, but for arguments sake wipe this one out, sure I'll get a lesser sandeel again if that's what they are.

Haha yeah crazy tiny, yeah it was lip caught and it was 100% a fluke, I had 2 hooked through lip the rest (about 30) were foul hooked. It was a new bass rod I bought and was thinking all I was gonna catch were those tiny things lol.

I agree. Theres a black spot on its snout although its difficult to make out and the mouth parts aren't tubular like a lesser's would be but rather gaping in comparison. Bottom jaw elongated not meeting the top more equally. looks like a weighty specimen for the species too. if u want a lesser sandeel just foul hook one in the mouth on a 2/0 daylight. Lol!
