  • Ardnamurchan Accommodation

Next year I\'m having a week or 10 days around Ardnamurchan. Never been there before but it looks great fishing - Sanna Bay really interests me.

Has anybody got any recommendations for accomodations - must be comfortable (no tents!), clean and have a kitchen so I can cook my catch!

    Cheers in advance

Cheers Jonny - self catering is what I\'m looking for though.

if its houses and the like:
          http://www.steading.co.uk

          caravans/b&b\'s and the rest

          http://www.ardnamurchan.com

between the 2 of them there is just about every bit of accommodation going listed there

http://www.west-scotland-marine.com is Andy Jackson site. he does charters and boat hire and has a house for rent which has a free orkney longliner thrown in for the week.

also from that site you can rent an island in loch sunart as well

          http://www.isleofcarna.co.uk/

when you going?? we\'ll be there again next summer for a few weeks (portuairk)

peak season (july/august) a 6 berth static will cost around £160 quid a week, though there\'s a few cheaper ones dotted about though. book early is the only option, as It is always booked well inadvance. Late August tends to have a few more availabilities as the scottish schools go back 3 weeks before ours

Cheers Mark - that\'s great. I was thinking of going mid to late June and avoid the ankle biters! I will be booking well in advance as well.

the cvaravan we stay in in june costs £120 a week as do most of the others.

good month for fishing too, there\'s usually gazillions of sand eels around so they get followed in by all sorts. My little personal species hunt I have with myself always scores more in june than later on. this year got dab, plaice, flounder, pollack, coalies, wrasse, doggies, a cuckoo ray, small codling, mackeral and eels

Do you have any other links for caravans there? The search on the other website isn\'t finding any.

                Cheers

If you search the ardnamurchan.com site, the caravans are under the self catering heading. there\'s not masses of them, non at Sanna anyway, a few in Portuarik and a few in Kilchoan

                  http://ardnamurchan.com/association/SearchResultsAll.asp

there\'s also Branault Croft Caravans at Achateny on the north coast 01972 510284, (Bridget Cameron) - 3 big static Atlas caravans sleeping 6, £100 -£160 per week

Friends of ours own the owns in Portuairk Janet & Alastair McColl £120 -£160 01972 510318
