only the most shelterd of marks will be fishable m8, but care is still to be taken though the sea is wild today not seen it this big in ages

The slab at the start of SS pier is fishable at the minute, fairly safe too. Sheltered behind the Brigade hut or the Italian in the corner. Wind at your back then shelter behind the buildings. Just fished it for a few hours, caught nowt though ! Fished it yesterday as well but caught nowt then either so moved to the Walkway to break the blank with an undersized codling.

                          Cliff marks?!

I wouldnt want to be on a cliff in this. A sheltered bay such as cullercoats harbour at low water maybe. Even then it could be too big.

Yep a cliff is the last place id want to be.
So i see what you mean by cullercoats harbour being shelterd, but doesnt that kinda defeat the point in there being a big sea on?

Not at all cos thats when fish get pushed into these areas where its calmer.

I love cullercoats harbour. The bigger the better for me there. But it does look rather angry out there so stay safe.
