Its far too big for the target IMO like, you'd be mad to even try it

As for the sheltered marks, the walkway should fish, might be a bit windy but you'll be protected from the worst of it

was that you i was speaking to on the way back up the bank? if not it will have been ya mate.
i thought the harbour would have been ok :0(
i seen the rods in the water and thought id pop down then when i seen yas heading back thought better of it.
drove to blyth got out the bandstand, took one look at the pier and got back in the motor.
went to cambois, sea was ok but cudnt cast too windy! thought id have a chuck seeing as id made the journey, reeled back in after the wind blew me sinker 90 degrees to the left, picked up me gear and headed home.
its one if those days you just have to accept its no good.
gutted, its the only chance ive got for a while.

                                Fishing in this...... Bonkers!
Went down tynemouth today and nearly lost the car door because of the wind, sea is huge and unfishable also.
Let it die down so you can actually hold the bottom and fish safe, by that time the fish will have moved in for the dislodged free food.

That's just my opinion, if people want to fish in it carry on but be as safe as you can. Fishing is a passion/ hobby not a necessity.
