i am sure we have many members who could give a definitive answser !!which way do all the piers run at .....south gare[redcar] haeugh,red light,middleton [hartlepool],seaham,roker and south shields i might get a compass out of a xmas cracker this year but just in case i dont could someone help....it will make it easier to plan fishing trips if i know the way piers run ,when i take wind directions into account........

Have a look at this site, it shows the piers, open another window along side it with a weather page that shows wind directions and that should give you the info you need.....stay safe on the piers mate....

there is compass point engraved on top of the wall on the end of south shields pier that should give you the direction the pier rune

look on google maps. zoom into which ever pier and there's a compass in the top left hand corner of the map.

there on round end on the top of wall etched into the stone, not all the directions but here is a few , not rememeber which direction are there
