Whitley Beach 23/1

Mate and I fished above beach 2 hrs up 1 hr down, used different baits, nothing not even a knock.
The last 6 sessions I have fished Tynemouth, Whitley and Blyth Beaches with mate using different baits, rigs etc and not even had a knock let alone catch anything. Other anglers nearby not doing anything either so its not just me. Can only fish tues and Fridays but starting to get despondent. Last year was bad but this has to be the worst season in 30 odd years. Is anybody catching anything??? if this carries on I can see me wrapping in and doing something else

as dale said,very poor atm.
as usual we need a good stur up,to hopefully bring some fish in close.

We all know there's good, bad and mediocre years for catches. I'm hopeful catches will pick up. The glass is always half full with me lol

Fishing always goes quiet from Christmas onwards. We need a good sea to stir the fish into life before the spring runs.
Boat reports are mixed, some enjoying good catches from the rough ground close inshore, others on different days, coming back with very few fish.
