Local Marks Book?

Years ago (1970\'s) my dad bought me and our kid a book from the Gazette office in South Shields which was a guide to fishing in the north east and included loads of marks around the region. It was about A5 size and softback. I\'d love to get hold of a copy, but I\'ve got no idea what it was called or who wrote it

I think (only think mind) that it was written by the bloke who use to do the fishing column in the Shields Gazette before Terry Wood? (possibly somebody Johnson or Thompson?)

Any ideas lads/lasses?? There\'s a deal to be struck for a copy

there was a great book i read years ago by dave higgins. dont know if it was ever published?
