      Seriously......I have never seen a hole either side of the beach. It\'s always flat and shallow (hence the surfing popularity I suspect). When I\'ve spoken to the owners of the St Vedas Hotel they tell me they often have angling groups in the winter but they never catch anything. On the plus side there is loads of feed in the bay, small flatties, worm casts etc. Would have thought you might get one or two on the south side, where the skeers are - would expect codling to run up and down there at high tide.

        cheers mate thought it would have been agood shot with having the rocks on either side its not to dis similar to the private beach at cresswell

          I think there\'s a lack of tide through the bay (as opposed to in and out). Even off Milldown Point, the headland \"lump\" to the south of the bay, there\'s no run on. It\'s rare to get mackerel there in the summer.
          Perhaps that limits the feeding.
