well with not getting out the last2 weeks due to being on a work programme i was really looking forward to get on pier today, with the winds easing and still a good sea on and with some very nice lug from frasers and some freshly dug rag off a mate, a thought prospects looking good,got to end bout 9.30 there was only 1 cod bout 1.5lb caught, never mind i said and set up me gear cast out..well the fishing was a bit slow as only 2 lads on the small was were puling in fish, i think they managed 7 cod up 3.5lb between them I managed 1 bout 2.5lb thenit went quiet then as tide turned a mate came over from the from the front and only he was catching he got 5 up to 3.5lb as tide got too strong we all moved over the SE corner but only 1 more cod taken so i decided to move up to slab area on the way up thre i saw 2 6lbers a 4lber an a couple of 3.5lbers also another mate fishing rail end area had 3 cod to bout 3lbs from rail end area.. not loads of fish for the amount of anglers on pier but a few went home happy,, anyway theres always tomorrow again

hi, it was myself and mate syd fishing the small wall.

we fished our club comp, i ended up with 6 fish all size up to 2.5lb, syd only managed the one after missing loads of bites.

i went back down for the night tide with chris but blanked while chris took 3 and dropped a double shot onto the ledge below.
