    is it worth swapping a penn 515 mag2 for a penn 525 mag xtra what would u lads do thanks

    I would because they are much better reels the old 525's... 515 might sell for a bit more tho

      just checked the 525 there and it has a cracked frame and is full of white of the salt i have just bought a 525 mag t not long ago but carnt have it till crimbo so i think il keep my 515 for now as the 525 is in bad condition

        Definatley the new mag2s are made in china from wat seem like cheap materials i was looking at the mag extras yesterday and they seem like very nice sturdy reels which can hold plenty of line

          hi mate i sold my 2 mags so i could get the cash to buy the new penn mag 515 mag 2 and 525 mag 2 and im casting betting distance now and the build quality is the same or even better i use the 525 mag 2 more than the 515 but i wouldnt swap if the mag 2 has a crack in....

            its full off salt and i dont think it is cracked just a mark i checked it again do u reckon its still worth it if its full of salt

              if its full of salt stay clear as it will damage the bearings the lad who wants to swap is trying to swap for a reason you will get a excellent condition 525 for ya 515 mate

                ok thanks mate it makes a grinding noise when it reels aswell so il keep the 515 and swap it on here in a couple of weeks
