Anybody fancy another fishing get-together before Christmas AND help out needy kids at the same time?

Please note that THIS one isn\'t a NESA event and anybody wanting to take part should post ONLY on Andys\' site.
No point it having this running on both sites as it will only lead to confusion.
I\'ve already started a thread called \"JUST FOR KIDS\" in Andys\' Shore Fishing forum. I\'d suggest that anybody wanting / willing to take part, posts their \"I\'m up for it\" on that thread.

Cheers Tony, I\'ve been busy l8ly and haven\'t even seen my own site for a couple of days It was nice of you to start that thread off for me
I was listening to Metro Radio the other night & Alan Robson (dj) said that a lass of 14 is stuck at a dialysis machine for 14 hours a day & that they need 2k+ to help fund a specially adapted laptop so she can communicate with the world from her bed.
There was loads of other stuff mentioned but that stuck with me and I thought it would be nice to help.
Do what you want here and anywhere else but get ya dosh to the appeal so that her & other less fortunate kids in the N/E have the Xmas we have. You can donate directly by contacting Metro Radio and I\'ve got the addy to post cheques to if needed.
Any money raised stays in the North East and there\'s more to do as well.

No problem Andy.
As the old saying goes \"least said, soonest mended\" - so let\'s get on with it and start raising what we can to help out.
As I said in my opening post, I think it\'s best to keep all this on one site and I would direct ANYBODY wanting to contribute to the cause to the link to Andys site, posted above.

Personal donations count for a lot in these situations, but I think it would be nice if a good sized cheque could be presented from (on behalf of) Andys\' North East Angling site.

Andy, knowing you, I know you\'re more intrested in helping to achieve the end result, but as the idea of raising money through a fishing comp (organised though North East Angling), came from yourself, then I think that THAT should also be recognised.

Again, knowing you, you\'ll say that THAT doesn\'t matter.....but it DOES matter, m8 - CREDIT WHERE CREDIT\'S DUE !

Now........LET\'S RAISE SOME MONEY !!

Haway lads,
I know it\'s the run-up to Christmas and peeps are busy & all that, but the response to Andy\'s call has recieved a poor response, so far.

It\'s looking like the get together will be sometime BEFORE Christmas (possibly a Wednesday evening). For updates check Andys\' site using the link in my 1st post on this thread.

Remember ALL money raised will be going to needy kids in the North East.

Like I say, I know it\'s a busy time of year.....but the comp is only for about 4 hours on a midweek night - the shops\'ll be shut then, anyway.

Please take part if at all possible

I appreciate that a midweek event isn\'t too handy for everybody and if you can\'t take part due to work comittments.....well that\'s fair enough.
I don\'t really wanna get into the \"arrangements\" for the comp (dates & times, etc) as it\'s not being organised by me. This is a North East Angling event, organised by Andy and I\'m just trying to drum up a bit more support.
