    was on ssp sunday,talking to my marra turned round only to see my rod/reel launch itself like a exocet from rod rest over the wall 'gone in a nanno second' looked over and there it was drifting out to sea . tied a grip lead on some line tried to hook it that way to no avail tried casting over it with me marras rod ,no good 10 mins gone by rod disappeared , sick as ---k resigned to the fact was well gone. thought to give it just one more chuck ,on reeling in snagged some line yes it was mine managed to get it in with me zziplex xtr and new slosh 30 sha still attached and got me trace back also HOWZAT. dont know what pulled it in but must have been powerful .

        its amazing how fast rod goes flying over whether , a boat, jet ski or a seal . it is a feeling u get which to me u can not describe, its just plain horrible, have had it happen 4 times to me twice I not get back.

        am glad u had a happy ending

              i was there when it happened to you but I couldn't cast straight to get it for ya lol..

                Mine went over on Hartlepool prom. I'd baited up, lobbed the rig over the railings & bent down to wipe my hands, only to look up & see the lot overbalance & into the sea. Ran back to the car & grabbed my spinning rod with a treble hooked lure on, managed to 'catch it'.

                  hi mick heard yous was in to fish the other day well done , and kenny forgot his waders and had to fish off another skeer so unlike Kenny he normally so orgqanised

                      i we had canny sesh I had six cod in the range 2 and fives gav and simon had good fish aswell
