  • £230 to spend

    Looking for opinions lads,if you had £230 to spend on a rod and reel(2nd hand) for general use i,e river beach maybe bit mixed ground,piers what would you be looking for.Probably aimed more at what rod as i think 525mag of some description would be ideal,cheers chaps.

    RT Axellerator and a 525 mag is what I use, Payed £50 for the rod and £60 for the reel.

      i've got a greys supro to go , cost £ 159.99 , used only 3 times , still brand new , with reducer , rod bag and fuji reel seat . ideal for clean to mixed ground and piers and rivers - if interested pm me .

          i wud go cheap as possible ,cos ya never nahs ya might not like it and be too disheartened not catching the rare species the codling ,seen grown blokes cry after buying top notch gear and still they fail to catch codling out and about its not all about the gear its catching the fish that counts

              aye thats it the name on the rod or reel doesnt make a difference aslang as ya catch fish thats the main thing
