Had a one of these nigh on 15-20 yrs ago. They were an uprated version of the original bullet but not quite as pokey as the bullet sport. The one I had was a blue colour and when new quite stiff, with a thickish tip. and I used mine all over including the rock ends. It softened up and did become a bit on the floppy side. I replaced mine with a TZ500 and that was one great rod!!

I bought one of these rods when they first came out in the mid to late 90,s. I used it for all my fishing until three years ago when I updated my tackle.. Lovely rods very robust they were rated at 6,1/4 oz (175g) max casting weight. Totally rigid butt and glass and carbon blend in the tip (carbon stiffens the mid section). I sold it for 80 quid to one of the lads who like to rebuild them and sell them on, and frankly I miss using it I landed a 23,1/2 lb cod over Balcary way with it, lip hooked as well, I would say a full carbon tip would have pulled the hook out. these are fabulous fishing rods and I found that they cast a large bait with a 180g sinker best (my old mold is slightly over 175). I don,t know of a tougher rod my belief is that the glass in the tip helps to make them more robust than a full carbon rod. They soften up a bit more though but that's not necessarily a bad thing if it helps them stand the test of time. I used mine in the kelp and compared to the rods of today I guess you could say the tip did fold over but it will ease the gear through the weed and wont snap if you get a nick or scratch in the carbon, they are very tough.
PM me your number and I can tell you in detail how I found the rod.
