  • think i will hit the river later on!

well saying as i havnt been out in 8 or 9 days, gonna fish the tide in 3 hours then 1 after. height is 4.8m so would it be ok at smiths docks, or will i be better off at the pedestrian tunnel... just how big is too big for the river at its wider parts ?

4.8 shud be ok I would fish 2 hours either side of high or low. I have fished smiths on 5.2m tides the tide pulls less 2 hours either side of low or high

As mentioned I have fished smiths in the biggest of tides 5.2s etc just stick to 2 hours either side. U want a bit tidal flow but not too much. The bigger the tide the wider the part of the river should be. Smaller tides the narrower the better.

i would say 4.8 is the max aye mate if u want to fish the tide up like i do a 5 metre tide you can hold bottom using 7 or 8 oz leads but hard work
