What line are you all using and how well does it cast on multi’s with a heavier weight?
power pro m8 it not cheap but the best i have ever used on a multi, the braid is rounder & dose'nt dig in like alot of braids that r flat or oval in shape, i am chucking 50lb fireline- diam of 18lb mono on a 7ht with no probs at the minute.

if u r rubbing braid against a rock then u will get some damage m8 but most of the top braids r high abrasive resistant & have a coating on that dose help aswell, i dont use a shockleader with 80lb powerpro on the rocks just 80lb powerpro straight through & a 60lb mono rig body with a 40lb amnesia hook snood with 4,0 sukuma's & a 30lb mono rotton bottom. if anything is gonna go m8 it is normaly the rotton bottom, hook bends out or if rig is tangled round a snag then many times the 60lb rig body goes at the knot 2 a swivel or a link. i have had the same braid on coming up 2 year now & it has never snapped on m8, i know lads that have had the same braid on for 3 & 4 years so it can save u money in the long run m8.
using thick mono like 60lb on rocks after big fish is fine m8 as that is what i used 2 use on the heavy, heavy marks but i find when the sea's r rough there is alot of pull on the main line so the heavy braid & low dia works better 4 me, a bit like on a boat when lads use braid because less drag.
i dont always use braid i still use mono on alot of marks, i do like braid on the beaches if bit weed about because no need 4 leaders so no leader knot, no weed knot lol.
      bill.
