    Right lads me marras getting a greys srx rod 13,6 he was just wanting to know if anybody has got one or had a one, and he was wanting to know what size sinker to use with this rod its either 5oz or a 6oz CHEERS for any info so i could pass it on to him

    6oz no probs, very good rod when they dont snap. happened to me few year back.

      I would advise your mate not to buy a Grey's SRX.

      The tip section has a tendency to snap, Ive popped a couple and know of quite a few others that have went the same way.

      If it's to late to pass on it then I suggest 150G and avoiding any type of power casting.

      It's a shame because it's a nice rod to cast and fish with but the fear of it collapsing on top of you whilst attempting to launch a couple of baits slightly tarnishes the experience.
      Never go swimming with bow legged women.

        I've got a GRX 5oz 13ft, and it casts a 5oz well in my semi pendulum style, but a 6oz might be too heavy for the same cast.

          Cheers lads hes had it a while now hes been hoying a 5oz ,but thinking on putting a 6 on ,no probs up to now, i will pass on the info ,i cant comment cos i aint had one or never tried one , THANKS
