  • Eyemouth the day after, take 2

Thanks for the post Jim. I\'m pleased you and Steve enjoyed the day.
On the Thursday the weather was, if anything, worse. Rod and I went down the grassy bank we passed on our way back to the bus, remember?

    First cast....... 3 pounder

    Next cast...... 6 pounder

    Next cast...... another one

    Then Rod got a wrasse

    Then I got one

    Codling for Rod

We ended up with 11 fish, all returned, best 6lb.
Shame we didn\'t decide to give it a go on the way past Jim. It\'s abit of a pig in the rain mind, long way to slide on your a**e. I have brought my mam down home and am coming back up on Wednesday so Rod and I might get a chance on the Thursday, if anyone\'s around.

Some cracking pics there David. Pleased the fish decided to come out to play for you and Rod. Looking at the first picture it doesn\'t look half as steep as it does from the top lol. If I had gone down there I don\'t think I would have got back out lmao.

      Jim.

Only going if the weather\'s OK. Will let you know in advance Gordon. The sea was massive yesterday morning when we left. If we hadn\'t been on holiday we wouldn\'t have got out of the car it was that uninviting on the Thursday. Funny how it works out.

being from leeds fishing marks are hard to find so we just hit the more used maks.

Got to agree Rich. Long time since I saw a Scarborough in use and it was good to watch. Gave me a few thoughts on rock fishing I will tell you.
David I have got to say there are some VERY good pictures on this thread also. Obviously more photogenic than you thought mate lol.

Rich, the late Davy Higgins features in the book, although he wasn\'t a great rock angler, prefering the beach or pier. Using the scarboro has a number of drawbacks but a number of advantages as well not least the fact, that came up in conversation over the Wednesday trip, that no-one had a shore caught double except me and I\'ve had a few. On the other hand I bet I\'ve lost a lot more tackle so it\'s horses for courses.
Jim, still think the fish are the stars lol
