Well the time has come to bite the bullet and go a full time multiplier user, so have been looking arround and have took a liking to the century tt match and was wondering if anyone on here has one or used the rod just to give any advise on the rod like bite detection ect . Was thinking about pairing it up with a abu 7000 but dont no if this is the right combo but just looked ok to me ?
So i put this to the experts
Always happy to share what knowledge I have

You to get a reel to match the ground your fishing not the rod your using, its no good getting a small casting reel thats only good for clean ground if your fishing the rock edges. Don't know what the new 7000's are like but the old 7000/7000c (sweedish made) where a great all round reel
Personally I would get a Penn 525 mag as you can slow the reel down to suit u and is probally the best allround reel for.clean and mixed.grounds and they cast like a dream
As the lads have said it's impossible to advise unless you say where you do most of your fishing. A clean - mixed beach set-up will be very different to a rough ground set up.
To me the combo you suggest doesn't really work. The TT Match is a clean ground rod best suited to partnering with a casting reel like a 6500 or 7HT while the 7000 is a mixed to rough ground reel...
Thanks for the info lads the marks i fish are mainly beeches but do fish the tyne , ss pier and the odd rock mark was also thinking to get a multi with a level wind just to help me lay the line until i get the hang of thumbing it on and just remove the level wind thanks again chaps
