Lol Alan......I think the \"typical\" comment was directed towards him wasting £ on a reel which is \"less than he expected\", shall we say......when all he had to do was ask......lol

Sods law eh Jonny You normally ask advice on the site before you buy any tackle and the once you go it alone it bites you on the arse.

Wait until Chrimbo and put the reel back up for sale, you\'ll probably get your money back

You should reply to Alans PM as well mate. When I first started fishing over there he put me onto some great marks (probably one of THE best bass beaches )

give it a blast jonny you might be pleasantly suprised. I\'ve got a Daiwa baitcaster about the same size and its champion on a small spinning rod, also use an Okuma Nitryx or a daiwa millionaire 6H depending on what I\'m chucking, much much prefer em to fixed spool reels for spinning with now

Got to agree Mark. Although I sometimes use an egg whisk I much prefer the feel of a small multiplyer, especially in the deeper water.
As Mark says Jonny, give it a go and enjoy. It won\'t take long to get used to it mate.

                              Jim.
