    Fishing Norway,

I'm not a sea angler although I have dabbled a bit as a kid and through working offshore I have taken opportunities as they come.
Nigeria/Angola provided excellent big game fishing

I'm now in a Norwegian shipyard armed with a 7' boat rod and multi. I've caught an abundance of Saithe/pollack and wrasse.

The saith and pollack take lures, The wrasse are deep and take small vertical jigs.

Any tips on catching cod? Would you bait up a rod or jig?
I get 40 minutes a day which so far averages a return of 3-4 fish each off the pier.

When I was in Bergen I caught good haddock, whiting and a boss fish (like a fat ling)

try a 'norwegian ' pirk, with red coloured muppets or other on the hook trebles

From the shore mate, But we have a constructed jetty which gets us into deep water. I have a few odds and end. Most of the catches are on feathers, muppets and a silver jig.
The killer lure is a small red thing made by fladen with maybe a size 2 treble. It can be jigged vertically or cast out and retreived. It's bagged up and only has 2 hooks of the treble left.
Theres a place nearby we can get live bait, I can easily catch fish for bait too.

It's just a two hook flapper with the bottom hook hanging off the grip lead to help with the cast
