Jonny, its nowhere near the Isle of Whithorn mate, its actually on the western shore of Loch Ryan.

    Try Burrowhead caravan park.

Fish..put them back..bait just big fresh every two days like we do and catch the mackerel 5 at a time from the mull area. Loads of lug and rag beds around that area but dont pee the locals off lol.

Go into the tackle shop in Stranraer if your unsure of any marks and things, he is helpful and that.

Jonny, like Richy says, there\'ll be loads of mackerel about, just take some frozen sandeels. See Eric in the tackle shop in Stranraer for info, he\'ll let you know some good spots.

Got to agree Jonny you never need to take bait over there mate, unless you are on a really tight schedule ie 1 or 2 day trip, take a fork with you but fill your holes in,I had the bairns collecting crabs last year at Garlieston whilst i was fishing.
I\'ve been to the shop in Stranraer really nice people in there.
