Hello Jonny, I would buy a selection of colours and sizes of jelly worms ans also some spinners and redgills. Fish the worms off as long a trace as you can cast. Alternatively you could try frozen sandeels on the same set up retrieved very slowly or even freelined ( ragworm works for this also). Good luck anyway.

Frozen sandeel is my favourite, followed by freelined ragworm and then 115mm redgills in silver/blue, white or orange. Did OK with crushed limpet for the smaller wrasse last year as well. If you take a net, there\'s a rockpool to the left hand side that normally has shrimps and blennies as well

Jonny, had some great sessions there with spun or floatfished frozen sandeel, although if the mackerel are thick like they were there last year, you\'ll have trouble getting through them. Floatfished rag will get you Pollack and wrasse if you fish close in.

If you\'re spinning, do a steady constant retrieve and keep reeling when you feel the fish plucking - don\'t strike - when the Pollack hits, you\'ll know about it!!

Been going there for a week for the past few years on my hols, and had some great sessions. See my catch report I\'ll be putting up as well.

floated frozen sandeel is tops with me but like to deep spin with a jelly worm found purple with glitter worked spot on if maceral about then long thin belly stips work as well as sandeel especially if cut to approx 6 inch by 1/2 inch thin strip (looks like sandeel then)
this proved succesful on a recent boating trip down the mull of galloway
its the taking part that counts

Have a look at the pic on my catch report for the ones I use Jonny. I\'ve also got some narrower ones which you can use lighter leads with.

Like others have said Jonny, take a selection. Bigger floats might help if it gets a bit choppy otherwise I keep them quite light.

dexters wedge was mentioned also as a spinner and I find them really good. You can get them in various sizes if you want or need a longer cast. Veals now do some very similar spinners quite cheap.

One of my best days with lures at the back of Burrowhead was with a cheap black/green plug which I saw on a market stall and bought for £1. Never got much big but had a hit nearly every chuck when everything else was quiet. Biggest pollack was about 1lob but the lure was scratched to bits from the hits.

Experiment and enjoy, that\'s what it\'s about.
