  • Whitley bay refurb? Have they moved the rocks?

    It might seem like a stupid question but yesteraday i went to look at whitley at low tide around the half moon in front of the rex. And to me it def looked like a lot of the big rock platforms were missin along salts watts etc. From the rex up to the rendezvoux. The tide was quite low to am i jus imaginin it i havent fished it for two years but def looked like they were gone.

    Sometimes that whole stretch gets sanded up, other times it's really scoured and nothing but rock. Sounds like it's just really sanded up at the moment!

      Thanks mate. It really looked like all the platforms were missin. Spent a few winters standin on em didnt wanna see the back of em lol

        Agree with Gary mate. I run along the seafront quite a bit and it looks pretty sandy to me. Skeers that size should disappear in the space of a few weeks! A couple of big tide as and decent seas and they will be exposed again soon enough! Just in time for the autunn!!
