  • slosh 20

bought a year ago only used twice but cant get away with it, seems very loose and not a comparison to my 525 mag, however heard very good reports??

so the plan is to check the breaks but the instructions are not clear, a fools guide would be good, incidentally are they good reels.

One of the best reels in my opinion.
What do you mean by loose?

Just opened it up and no breaks in that's probably why loose (difficult to control) Scotty I will give it a couple of shots with breaks in if no good will let u know. Fishing a comp in hythe in two weeks and apparently a big casting venue so trying to improve distance bought a triplex 16 ft today will use penn or slosh or might by surf caster 8000 with braid as apparently good combo, any other suggestions more than welcom oh will be using 3 hook clip up/downs

        Cheers

Ah cheers national finals expecting good bags but some of the lads are v good casters as they concentrate a lot on casting down south saying that one of me Scottish (scottish international) mates who is fishing is a tornament caster and he is unbelievable!!

I use mine with the small set of brake blocks and red rocket oil in the bearings and it's always been spot on. The large set just slow it down a bit too much for me.

Yes, the small white set. Brakes are a personal preference, some people don't have them in, I only use one in my Abu reels, but in the Slosh 20 the small set work for me.

Stick a single rig bead, the small green luminous ones, works perfectly, can whack it as hard as you like.
