  • Scoping out the Clyde for a night session.

Or just an excuse to take a few pics with my new digital camera!

We are thinking about a wee evening session on the Clyde, but I am highly sceptical about catching anything. Cod is a pipe dream, Pollock about the same. Maybe a wee Saithe or a Dogfish. A dab if we find some sand.

Why this sudden idea of winter shore fishing? Well the last time we were down in the NE, Steve(Codfather145), gave us a couple crab sausages and some hints on ingredients for making them. Lynn, always up for a challenge, made some and now wants to give them ago. We really should try Arbroath if we were serious, but we don't know the area, it's a 240 mile round trip and we are too inexperienced to be going rock scrambling! Oh and too old!!

So if the weather is like this, we may go this weekend.

However if it is like this..........we won't!!

That one was taken by my friend George last winter.

Will report if we go out.

Haha, he didn't tell me the secret ingredients, just some general hints for beginners! Can't get crab easily up here, so using other fish and shellfish substitutes, so don't feel too bad.

They worked on the uptiding day, so we were very grateful.

Thanks for the info David, just checked and it's actually a 240 mile round trip, thought that was more realistic, must have typed in wrong address, so think we will leave it for now. Clyde it is!
