Firstly I apologise to you all for all my posts about multis recently. Anyways what is the abu 6500 ct mag hi speed like in your opinions? will it cop with any rough ground with the higher retrieve and when I say rough I only mean marks where I need to clear the rough stuff ie SS pier roker pier. I dont plan on fishing rock marks to dangerous for me lol. So to sum it up for me I have 3 reels that I think I would like 1.abu 6500 ct mag hi speed 2. abu 6500 ct premium mag elite 3. daiwa 7ht mag whats your opinions on these reel and also the akios shuttle? could you's give me a pros and cons of them and what do you thinks the better or the 4? Sorry for all the questions but i'm near an outcome now thank god!

Just MHO but the 6500 Hi-Speed has gears made of chocolate unlike the old Mag Elites that were made in Sweden. On the other hand I use my 7HT Mags off Shields pier all the time (mainly the 44 and first gate but also off the end). Lovely reels; cast like a dream, safe as houses if you set them up right and just a bit more grunt than the Abus.
Can't speak for the Akios but the bloke who taught me to cast down south (Mark Jakins) was one of the prototype testers and he raves about them. If they are good enough for Mark then they will be good enough for me and if I ever get the pennies together I'd love to splash out on a shuttle.CLIP IT AND WHACK IT

The Penn mags and 7ht are lovely reels, but there's nothing wrong with the sl20sh,
Best of all imo is the shimano speedmaster if you can get your hands on one! Loaded with 0.40 20lb tritanium make a great long distance rough ground reel! !Stay safe!
Enjoy your fishing!
Take your rubbish home!
Rocker.
