went to rumness sunday 23rd in the hope of a couple of codlings, due to flat calm conditions hopes were not high how shocked were we my mate rab ended up with 7 to 3lb5oz and i had five to 3lb13oz and a decent sized ****poke all fish caught on lug/crab&razor cocktails and also a few more fish were lost to snags, fished the dropping tide and 10 of the fish were taking in bright sunlight and gin clearwater and it was freezing, minus 3 when we got back to the car

mark x needs a good blow to set a spark under its arse as its cleanish ground the size of the fish should start creeping up from now, when are you back up again and are you coming with tony bax next time ?

went past the digs you stayed at last week and they look awfully posh for £18.00

Ill be coming up in december, ive got 3 weeks of in jan and ive got 3 weeks of in feb so i will be up then. i work 4 days on and 4 off, so i get plenty time off. Tony\'s itchin to get up but he works monday to friday and its when i get weekends off that match tonys days off. And if tony does take time off he,s away on holiday all the time. but im sure ill get him up shortly.
The club im in usually has a weekend up in feb so ill be up with the club, Barry will be there who you met at seahouses and im sure tony will make it as its over the weekend.
The digs me and micky stopped in were spot on £18 a nite b&b we had a big room which made it ideal to get all the gear in, close by were the pubs and chip shops. Also ant fancys a trip up aswell so ill probably show ant how to do some proper fishing using big baits and marks were you lose 20+ leads a session.

Ant I got a few leads given off a mate the other week the type which are sort of flattish with aero-type wings on and used them over the kelp at Cambois. Seemed to do the trich as they were planing in over the top and only lost one in the whole match. I\'m going to borrow the mould and do some more.

Cheers Peter, I was talking to gordon ealrier and he\'s getting the same mould as rex hunt uses, sure you\'ve noticed how they have a lead loop in the top so they\'ll be dead easy to cast and no faffing on with wires. We\'ve got moulds for everything to be honest, but I still hate doing them. Got to be done though!

Peter M you couldnt find out the name of this mould could you?

Something like a name to walk into the tackle shop with and ask for.
At the moment i just use a dca mould but have used everything from bike inner tubes filled with sand to spark plugs to concrete and you dont feel as good as with a sinker on.
But if these leads your on about you dont lose as many they\"ve got to be worth considering.

Well thats interesting GOGS I thought you scottish chaps only used worm and squid and mussel cocktails..............
Do you fish the beach mostly, you seem a bit on the heavy side to be clambering over the rocks ?
Good luck with the rest of the season.
